Central is going to be the first true Department store in the cash rich city of Gujarat. The disposable income of Surtis is unparalled in Gujarat. The only other alternative which Surat has as of now to Central is ISCON Mall, which is there since past 3 years.
Surat being pretty close to Mumbai, often has to grapple with the issue of creamy layer going to Mumbai for shopping rather than doing it local.
